പാകിസ്താനിലെ കറാച്ചിയില് ജനിച്ച് തലശേരി കതിരൂരില് താമസിക്കുന്ന റഷീദ ബാനുവിന് ആഭ്യന്തമന്ത്രാലയം സാക്ഷ്യപ്പെടുത്തിയ പൗരത്വ രേഖ ജില്ലാ കളക്ടർ കൈമാറി.
കണ്ണൂരിലെ കതിരൂർ സ്വദേശിയായ കെവി ഹസൻ- ഫാത്തിമ ദമ്ബതികളുടെ മകളായ റഷീദ ജനിച്ചതും വളർന്നതുമൊക്കെ കറാച്ചിയിലായിരുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യ-പാക് വിഭജനത്തിന് മുൻപ് ഹസൻ ജോലിക്ക് വേണ്ടിയാണ് പാകിസ്താനിലെത്തിയത്. ഇതിനിടെ പിതൃസഹോദരി പുത്രൻ മഹ്റൂഫുമായി റഷീദയുടെ വിവാഹവും കഴിഞ്ഞു. ഇദ്ദേഹവും പാക് പൗരനായിരുന്നു. 2009-ല് ഭർത്താവിനും ആറ് മക്കള്ക്കുമൊപ്പം റഷീദ ബാനു തലശേരിയിലെത്തി. തുടർന്ന് ഇന്ത്യൻ പൗരത്വത്തിനായി അപേക്ഷിച്ചെങ്കിലും നടപടികള് നീണ്ടു. ഇതിനിടയില് ഭർത്താവ് പാകിസ്താനിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങി.
പൗരത്വം ലഭിക്കാത്തതിനാല് തന്നെ രാജ്യത്ത് സഞ്ചരിക്കണമെങ്കില് പൊലീസിന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യപത്രം വേണമായിരുന്നു. റഷീദയും മക്കളും സർക്കാർ ഓഫീസുകള് കയറിയിറങ്ങി ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടി. മക്കളായ അഫ്ഷാൻ, സാദിയ, മുഹമ്മദ് കാസിം എന്നിവർക്ക് 2018-ല് പൗരത്വം ലഭിച്ചു. സുമൈറ, മറിയം എന്നിവർക്ക് 90 ദിവസത്തിനകം പൗരത്വം നല്കണമെന്ന് ഇക്കഴിഞ്ഞ ജൂലൈയില് ഹൈക്കോടതി വിധിച്ചു. മകൻ ഇസ്മായിലിനും പൗരത്വ നിയമപ്രകാരം പൗരത്വം ഉടൻ തന്നെ ലഭിക്കും. നീണ്ട 16 വർഷങ്ങള്ക്ക് ശേഷമാണ് റഷീദയ്ക്ക് പൗരത്വം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. 2018 ഏപ്രില് 24 എന്ന തീയതിയിലണ് പൗരത്വരേഖ ലഭിച്ചത്.
ജനന സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് ഇല്ലാത്തതും പൗരത്വത്തിനായി നല്കിയ രേഖകളെ കുറിച്ച് വിവരങ്ങളില്ലാത്തതുമായിരുന്നു റഷീദയ്ക്ക് തടസം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്. റഷീദയുടെ ഉമ്മ ഫാത്തിമ ഏറെ കാലമായി കിടപ്പിലാണ്. ആഴ്ചയില് മൂന്നി ദിവസമാണ് ഡയാലിസിസ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഇനി ഉമ്മയുടെ ചികിത്സയ്ക്ക് സഹായം ലഭിക്കുമെന്നും പേരക്കുട്ടിയെ ചികിത്സയ്ക്കായി വിദേശത്ത് കൊണ്ടുപോകാനുമൊക്കെ സാധിക്കുമെന്ന ആശ്വാസത്തിലും സന്തോഷത്തിലുമാണ് റഷീദ ബാനു. തല നിവർത്തി നടക്കാമെന്ന ആശ്വാസത്തിലാണ് ഈ 52-കാരി.
