It emphasised that in today&#8217;s world, most threats to peace emerge within specific regions rather than globally. This means that managing arms within regional groups could play a crucial role in maintaining stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The document highlighted past arms control initiatives, like those in Latin America, and addressed efforts made in South Asia.
